1. Door panels
Flexible panels of CFC-free extruded polystyrene insulation, with flexible polycarbonate polymer cladding. K-value is 0.4 W/m2K. One or more panels can be fitted with windows, which provide an exterior view and lets in light. Standard door color is light grey with red stripes,
and red bottom seal.

2. Bottom panel
The bottom panel is constructed to swing away upon impact, avoiding collision damage. The section can easily be snapped back in place.

3. Guides
Anodised aluminium rails guide door panel movement. Spring-mounted guides allow panels to run quickly and smoothly, with-out noise. In the event of a major collision, guides hop off of the rails, reducing damage to a minimum.

4. Frames
Frame covers completely protect the operating mechanisms of the door, for maximum safety and hygiene, but can be easily opened for inspection, cleaning and maintenance.

5. Balancing mechanism
A system comprising of pressure springs, enclosed in aluminum profiles,
with set gearing to ensure long life and optimal balancing of the selected
door size. The panels are linked to the chains of the drive system by four
fixing points, two of those are also linked to the balancing mechanism
which implies double security.

6. Safety edge
RapidTech utilises the patented STS self-testing touchless safety system. A photocell beam crossing the opening at the bottom of the door detects any object that may obstruct the closing door, causing the door to automatically reverse. This safety system functions even when the bottom section has been swung out.

7. Drive unit
3-phase motor and hollow shaft worm gear allow direct installation on the drive shaft. The drive unit is secured via a torque arm to the doorframe.
An optical encoder measures position and direction of the door panels,
while clutch and dynamic braking functions are achieved electronically.

8. Control system
A user-definable microprocessor-based system consisting of a logical unit and a motor control is conveniently housed in the control box. Opening speed can be set at up to 1.5 meters/second. The smooth start- and stop functions mean that the door can be run at this high speed without over-loading the transmission, thus ensuring a long door life.
